Despite difficult market circumstances Imtech is able to hold its ground in Spain. The key reason for this is that around 40% of the revenue is realised on the basis of (long-term) maintenance contracts. Since Imtech is more and more combining mechanical and electrical solutions, these contracts are becoming increasingly multidisciplinary in nature. As a result, Imtech is involved more often as a technology partner in clients' core production processes. This leads to additional spin-offs. That is why Imtech recently obtained new industrial orders for maintenance, shut-downs and upgrading with a total value just short of 60 million euro. Repsol C-10 project spin-off In addition to the Repsol project in Cartagena, involving the doubling of the refinery capacity to 70 million barrels of oil per day (the 'C-10 project') - which is currently being executed -Imtech received orders for the multidisciplinary instrumentation (the combination of electrical engineering and mechanical services) of this expansion project. The company also received an order from Repsol for the combination of dynamic and static maintenance (once again a combination of electrical and mechanical services) in Puerto Llano. Both orders are characterised by a high level of innovation and are groundbreaking for Imtech in Spain. Energy efficiency in the industrial sector Energy efficiency is playing an increasingly important role in the industrial sector. Imtech is involved, among other projects, in increasing the energy efficiency of the oil and gas company Cepsa as well as Acciona's major thermal solar energy projects. Shut-downs, maintenance and upgrading in the industrial sector Despite increasing competition and pressure on prices, Imtech is performing fine in the industrial sector. Imtech is involved in numerous shut-downs, maintenance and upgrading projects. It not only serves the oil and gas companies Repsol, Cepsa and BP, but also for a chemical plant of the pharmaceutical company Bayer, steel manufacturer Acerinox and tank storage company CLH. Besides maintenance and the repair of tanks, Imtech also provides CLH with total solutions for new storage facilities.
