British pound jumps 1% on Brexit deal hopes

The British pound jumped 1% on Tuesday after the Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar said that forward movements towards a Brexit deal were made but warned there is a still wide gap between the United Kingdom and Ireland. According to a report published earlier in the day, negotiators may be close to a draft Brexit deal.

Sterling increased 1.04 % against the US dollar at 6:07 pm CET selling for 1.27374. It rose against the euro by 0.93% at 6:16 pm CET buying 1.15404 and gained 1.34% against the Japanese yen at the same time going for 138.50400. The pound jumped 1.13% against the Swiss franc changing hands for 1.27081.
