Apple Inc. decided to use organic light-emitting diode (OLED) screen technology in building its new 5G iPhone series, the Nikkei Asian Review reported on Tuesday.

The California-headquartered tech giant is set to release four new iPhones with three screen sizes, including 5.4-inch, 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screens. All of them will be created using OLED technology.

However, the company is currently unable to use a full-screen OLED display as it still needs to integrate its facial recognition function, according to the report.
