Google said on Monday it is broadening its digital banking network as it partnered with six American banks.

Bank Mobile, BBVA USA, BMO Harris, Coastal Community Bank, First Independence Bank, and SEFCU will, therefore, be enabled to offer digital checking and savings accounts to Google Pay users in the United States, from the next year.

Google spokesperson confirmed the company is partnering "with banks and credit unions in the U.S. to offer digital bank accounts through Google Pay, helping their customers benefit from useful insights and budgeting tools while keeping their money in an FDIC or NCUA-insured account."
