French President Emmanuel Macron (pictured) said on Sunday that aid needs to get to Lebanon as soon as possible, and stressed that the country's future significantly relies on foreign help after the explosion that occurred in Beirut.

Talking at the international donor conference for Lebanon, Macron asserted that the blast intensified the economic crisis in the country, along with the political one, and noted that negative effects could ripple across the region without joined efforts.

Along with France, the United States, Russia, Austria, Turkey, and the United Kingdom have all expressed willingness to extend help to Lebanon, as did the United Nations, the European Union, and the technology giant Apple Inc.
