US finishes mixed, S&P ends on new all-time high

The Tuesday trading session in the United States ended mixed, as investors remained cautious amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier in the day, United States President Donald Trump said China made the biggest corn-order from the US. At the same time, it was reported that the US Senate Intelligence Committee accused the Trump administration of hindering and prolonging the Russian probe.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 0.24% as Chevron Crop sank 3.46%. The Nasdaq 100 added 0.98% with JD.com jumping 4.99%. S&P 500 ended 0.23% in the green, reaching a new all-time high, as Amazon led the gains, increasing by 4.09%.

The euro gained 0.53% against the dollar to go for 1.9338 at 4:10 pm ET.
