US stock market eased losses at close

Wall Street recovered slightly from sharp losses at the close on Friday. Boston Fed's Chief Eric Rosengren said that there is no plan to raise interest rates, while the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released a report showing that the nonfarm employment in the United States rose by 1.4 million in August. On the COVID-19 vaccine front, the US Vice President Mike Pence expressed his optimism regarding the release date for the vaccines.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 0.56% at the closing bell while Inc. shares depreciated by 3.89%. The S&P 500 declined 0.82% as PayPal Holdings dived 6.41%. The Nasdaq 100 decreased by 1.27% with DocuSign Inc. losing 10.64%.

The euro was down by 0.09% against the dollar, going for 1.18412 at 4:03 pm ET.
