A problem with anti-racism protests in Portland, Oregon, could be resolved in 30 minutes, United States President Donald Trump claimed on Tuesday.

"We could close Portland and the problem in Portland in 30 minutes, but they don't want the National Guard to come to Portland. The governor doesn't want it," Trump said in an interview with FOX in the White House, adding the situation in the city is "terrible."

The president also noted that "nobody has done more" for the African American community in the US than him "since at least Abraham Lincoln," underscoring that the protests have been led by the "Antifa and professionals."
