Apple Inc. revealed on Tuesday that the latest additions to its iPhone smartphone family will support the 5G network.

The iPhone 12 will feature the same 6.11'' screen as its predecessor but will be 11% thinner and 15% smaller due to the improved screen-to-body ratio, Apple said. With sharper edges, the firm's newest flagship smartphone resembles, in part, the iPhone 4 model.

The company unveiled that its newest iPhone models will be powered by the A14 Bionic chip, running on almost 40% more transistors than the chip used for iPhone 11.

The iPhone 12 model features a dual main camera, with a seven-element lens, the tech giant said promising a "27% improvement in low light" setting.

As a second addition to this year's iPhone lineup, iPhone 12 mini comes with the same features as its larger counterpart, apart from its 5.4" screen.

The prices for the iPhone 12 mini and the iPhone 12 start at $699 and $799, respectively.
