An antitrust complaint has been filed in France against Apple Inc. over privacy policy alterations in new iPhones, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday.

Advertising companies and publishers have argued that the changes are anti-competitive as individual apps will need to gain user permission to collect their advertising identifiers in accordance with the new policies.

They also claim a smaller number of users will agree to be tracked, which would, in turn, make selling personalized advertising more difficult.
