Apple's Cook optimistic on iPhone 12

Apple CEO Tim Cook said on Thursday that he is optimistic about the iPhone 12 and that his company has "more exciting things in store" for this year.

Speaking at the company's conference call following its earnings release, Cook also announced the launch on Apple One, a subscription bundle. Hinting at the impact of the coronavirus on its iPhone sales, Cook said, "if I had to describe our performance this quarter in a single word, it's resilient financial performance aside, I don't think this year will be a time that any of us look back on with great fondness or nostalgia."

Apple failed to meet iPhone sales expectations in its fourth quarter as iPhone 12 sales had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, meaning sales of new units were not counted in the quarterly result.
