The Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) stated on Thursday Beijing objected to the United States' sanctions on products from Xinjiang.

The comments come after Washington banned all cotton and tomato goods from the aforementioned region due to "information that reasonably indicates the use of detainee or prison labor and situations of forced labor."

Earlier, the United Kingdom and Canada imposed sanctions on certain imports from China over the alleged violations of human rights in Xinjiang.
