The Hyundai Motor Company confirmed on Wednesday it was planning to introduce the so-called build-to-order option of their electric vehicles (EV) for commercial customers.

That means that those that want to purchase Hyundai's EVs will be able to custom-design them before ordering. The company has not yet announced the date it would launch such a platform.

The news comes following the reports Hyundai was planning to sign a partnership deal with Apple Inc. over autonomous EV production.
