Apple supplier Foxconn Technology Group said on Wednesday it has reached an agreement with electric vehicle startup Fisker in order to construct an electric vehicle for the North American, European, Chinese and Indian market. Even though this is only a formal agreement, both companies confirmed that a formal partnership agreement should be signed during the second quarter of this year.

Foxconn obliged to start with production in the fourth quarter of 2023 and is expected to make over 250,000 vehicles per year under the Fisker brand.

Foxconn Technology Group Chairman Young-way Liu stated that this partnership means "that it will only take 24 months to produce the next Fisker vehicle - from research and development to production, reducing half of the traditional time required to bring a new vehicle to market.”
