Europe lower in premarket ahead of data

European stocks were lower in premarket trade on Thursday. Investors were watching on French insurance firm AXA S.A. reporting on its earnings and they are still waiting for Lloyds Banking Group plc for their quarterly announcement. Also, coronavirus seems to spread at a much faster pace. the latest information on a death toll is 2,128. The number of infected people is 75,727 while the number of recovered patients rose to 16,448.

The FTSE 100 was 0.08% down at 07:32 am CET, while the DAX lost 0.11% at the same time. CAC 40 was down by 0.13%.

The pound traded 0.14% lower compared to the dollar, changing hands at 1.20950 at 7:33 am CET. On the other hand, the euro was 0.16% down against the dollar, going for 1.10791 at the same time.
