The National Iranian Oil Company issued a statement on Friday denying media reports that it claimed missiles attacked its tanker off the coast of Saudi Arabia in the Red Stea earlier in the day.

The "Sabity" tanker was damaged this morning by several explosions that caused some of its oil to spill into the Red sea. Iranian media wrote, citing NIOC, that the explosions were caused by two missile strikes, which could have come from the direction of Saudi Arabia.
