Hong Kong lowers gatherings limit to 4 people

Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam announced on Monday the government will tighten limit to group gatherings from 50 down to 4 people due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The region has recorded 1,522 coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic, with the latest update adding 52 new infections. Hong Kong has also registered only 7 virus-related deaths so far, while 1,217 people successfully recovered from the disease.

Concurrently with the pandemic, China's new security law is also prompting crisis across the region.
