Russia's Ministry of Defense announced on Monday that all volunteers who had tested the Russian vaccine against the coronavirus developed immunity and experienced no negative side effects.

The two versions of the vaccine, developed by the N. F. Gamaleya Federal Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology in Moscow, have each been tested on 43 volunteers and trials have been carried out from June 3 to July 20.

The ministry added that all research and trial stages have been conducted in full accordance with the clinical research protocol, specifying that the latest results came after an "in-depth medical examination and diagnosis" of the volunteers who returned to the hospital from military service "on the 42nd day after the first vaccination."
