Global COVID-19 cases top 20 million

The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases worldwide climbed over 20 million on Monday, according to data compiled from health authorities worldwide.

Out of those who contracted the disease, at least 734,020 have died, while around 12.9 million recovered.

The United States remains the most affected country with approximately 5.2 million confirmed infections and over 165,600 deaths, followed by Brazil and India, which registered 3.04 million and 2.21 million coronavirus cases, respectively.
