Industrial production in the United Kingdom decreased 0.1% in November compared to the previous month, the Office for National Statistics said in a report released on Friday.

According to the data, mining and quarrying contributed most to the decline as it dropped 3.4%. Electricty and gas production was down 2.3% and water and waste fell 0.4%. On the other hand, manufacturing output rose 0.7%.

In the three months to November, total production jumped 4.7% compared to the previous three-month period. On an annual basis, production in the three months to November was 5.6% lower than in the same period in 2019.
