New Renault CEO to be named in days - Le Maire

French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire announced on Tuesday that he believes Renault will name its new CEO in a couple of days. In an interview on French CNews TV, Le Maire denied certain media reports that Nissan was looking to break up its partnership with Renault, referring to them as "malicious."

The two automobile makers' alliance was shaken by the dramatic escape of the former top executive of the Renault–Nissan–Mitsubishi Alliance Carlos Ghosn from trial in Japan. Renault shares dropped 3% on Monday as investors worried the French automaker's 20-year alliance with Nissan was headed for a break-up.

Renault appointed Clotilde Delbos as interim CEO in October 2019 after dismissing Thierry Bollore.

Renault shares fell 0.64% to €40.42 at 10:14 am CET.
