Europe opens higher on data optimism

Major European stock markets opened higher on Tuesday as investors are focusing on data to be reported. United Kingdom National Statistics is releasing its unemployment rate for June and jobless claims for July while German Zentrum für Europäische Wirtschaftsforschung is releasing its report on economic sentiment.

The DAX gained 0.95% at the opening bell with the Bayerische Motoren Werke rising by 3.54%. The FTSE 100 grew 0.73% as the International Consolidated Airlines Group jumped 4.12%. The CAC 40 rose by 0.96%. Renault was the best performer increasing by 3.16%.

The euro stood flat against the dollar to sell for $1.17370 at 9:03 am CET. At the same time, the pound sterling declined by 0.07% to the greenback, with the exchange rate of 1.30646.
