FTSE 100 opens higher after delay, DAX jumps 1%

The FTSE 100 started the trading session an hour and a half late on Friday and increased 0.79% at 10:41 am CET.

The benchmark index on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) failed to open on time due to "technical problems affecting certain securities," a spokesperson from the LSE said.

Meanwhile, Germany's DAX jumped 1.04 at 10:46 am CET, with Bayer and Infineon as the leading performers, both up by over 2%.

The CAC 40 added 0.78% at 10:31 am CET, led by energy company TechnipFMC and steel manufacturer ArcelorMittal.
