Dow jumps 250 pts as China eases foreign restrictions

United States equities advanced further in premarket trading on Friday amid optimism in regards to resumed trade talks between Washington and Beijing boosted by the announcement that China is easing restrictions on foreign ownership in futures, securities, and mutual fund companies starting from January 1, 2020.

At 5:07 am ET, The Dow Jones Industrial Average index jumped 265 points, or 1%. The Nasdaq 100 spiked 1.25% at 5:09 am ET, while the S&P 500 increased 1.04%.

Oil prices posted gains after an Iranian tanker was damaged with blasts caused by missiles, according to some reports.

The euro was up by 0.13% at 5:14 am ET, buying $1.10200.
