Asian markets rise modestly with trade in focus

The stocks on Asian markets traded mostly higher on Thursday after the report said China's purchasing the United States farm goods was key to the potential further progress of trade talks. On the other hand, US President Donald Trump stressed that the negotiations between Washington and Beijing are "moving along rapidly."

The Nikkei 225 and the Hang Seng stocks traded flat at 2:43 am CET while the Kospi rose 0.43% at the same time. Meanwhile, the Shanghai Composite increased 0.11% while the Shenzhen Composite jumped 0.15% at 2:43 am CET. The S&P/ASX 200 traded higher, gaining 0.64% at 2:44 am CET.

The US dollar went 0.08% up against the yen to go for 108.8625 at 2:46 am CET.
