The Japanese government will extend visa restrictions by another month due to the coronavirus pandemic, local newspaper Yomiuri Shimbun reported on Friday.

Meanwhile, Japan's Finance Minister Taro Aso estimated the country's economy has hit the bottom and that the pace of recovery will significantly depend on overseas developments. "It's too early to talk about the 3rd extra budget, as we must first see how stimulus steps taken so far are affecting the economy," Aso said.
