South Koreans support country's COVID response - poll

The majority of citizens of South Korea support the country's response to the coronavirus pandemic, the latest poll conducted by public broadcaster KBS showed on Friday.

According to the survey, the government received an average score of nearly 70 out of a possible 100 from 2,247 polled people. "South Korean people seem to generally view their response to the coronavirus as successful, attributing the success to themselves and their families, quarantine authorities and medical workers," the report concluded.

South Korea has registered only 25,698 COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic, with 455 coronavirus-related fatalities. In recent days, the daily reported numbers stood mostly below 100 positive cases.
