Wednesday, 28. October 2020 09:50

The selloff across European stock markets continued on Wednesday, with major indices suffering significant losses on the back of coronavirus worries.

Aside from the rising number of COVID-19 infections and the lockdowns introduced in response to the health crisis, investors were concerned over news that there will be no economic relief in the United States before next week's election.

The DAX sank 3.07% at 9:55 am CET, while the CAC 40 was down 3.01%. At the same time, the FTSE 100 tanked 2.04% as the Spanish benchmark IBEX 35 dove 2.43%. Over in Italy, the FTSE MIB crashed 2.86%.
