Europe higher premarket amid earnings, COVID rise

Major stock indexes in Europe traded higher in premarket on Thursday as investors focused on today's corporate earnings. Most of the big companies were heavily hit by the coronavirus. The number of coronavirus infections recorded globally grew by a record 504,419 in the last 24 hours.

The FTSE 100 grew slightly by 0.07% at 7:57 am CET, while the DAX jumped by 0.48%. The CAC 40 rose by 0.56% at the same time.

The euro went up by 0.08% against the dollar to sell for $1.17554 at 7:59 am CET. The pound was up 0.21% a minute later, changing hands for $1.30096.
