The price of silver surged on Monday after this weekend's attacks on Saudi Aramco's oil facilities.

Yemen's Houthis said they were responsible for the major disruption in Saudi energy supplies, but United States officials reportedly believe the evidence points towards Iran as being behind the strikes.

Silver soared 2.70% to $17.91 per ounce at 12:28 am ET.
