Asia trades higher after Japan data

Asian markets traded higher on Friday after the release of the latest inflation data from Japan. The country's core consumer inflation slowed to a two-year low last month. On Thursday, the Bank of Japan maintained its policy.

The Nikkei 225 added 0.48% while the South Korean Kospi Composite rose 0.12% at 4:11 am CET.

In China, the Shanghai Composite gained 0.24% at 4:30 am CET and the Shenzhen Composite climbed 0.45% at 4:31 am CET. At the same time, Hong Kong's Hang Seng advanced 0.28%.

Australia's S&P/ASX 200 jumped 0.59% at 4:32 am CET. The dollar declined 0.06% against the yen at 4:33 am CET, buying 107.948.
