UK lawmakers reject December 9 election bid

The House of Commons rejected on Tuesday the amendment to the government's bill for a snap election, which would have potentially paved the way for the vote to be held on December 9 instead of December 12. The lower chamber of the Parliament of the United Kingdom voted 315 against 295.
