The British Conservatives have officially won a majority in Parliament after it was announced that they picked up their 326th seat. The result means that Prime Minister Boris Johnson is now likely to take the United Kingdom out of the European Union on January 31.

With 632 out of 650 seats declared, the Tories increased their number of MPs by 46 to 352 while Labour's figure fell by 58 to 202. The SNP currently has 46 seats, gaining 13 while the Liberal Democrats are down one seat to 10 compared to 2017 and the Northern Irish Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) lost two MPs to total 8. BBC's forecast expects Tories to have a total of 364 MPs and Labour to have 203.

Earlier, Johnson declared victory and promised to deliver Brexit. An initial exit poll showed an even larger win for the ruling Conservatives.
