Asian markets trade lower after weak data

The Asian stocks slipped after fresh data were published by Japan and China. The Bank of Japan announced that the annual inflation rate for September stood at 0.2% despite the projected target of 2%. China revealed its growth rate and it was the lowest in at least three decades span. Meanwhile, the United Kingdom and the European Union reached agreement on Brexit with voting in British Parliament scheduled for Saturday.

The Nikkei 225 gained 0.27% at 7:23 am CET while the other indexes declined during the session. The Hang Seng was down 0.32% at 7:43 am CET, the Shanghai Composite fell 0.81%, while the Shenzhen Composite dropped 0.69% at the same time. The Kospi tumbled 0.41% at 7:22 am CET and S&P/ASX 200 slipped 0.52% at 7:17 am CET.

The dollar lost 0.10% against the yen at 7:38 am CET, changing hands for ¥108.5585.
