House Reps want Hunter Biden, whistleblower to testify

After they gained more sway in the impeachment probe, House Republicans are now trying to change the course of the investigation, with Representative David Nunes calling on Saturday for Hunter Biden and the anonymous whistleblower to be added to the list of witnesses testifying before the House investigators.

In a letter to Intelligence Committee's chairman Adam Schiff, its ranking member Devin Nunes said that the move represents an effort to "provide transparency to your otherwise opaque and unfair process," adding that the decision was made "after consultation" with Jim Jordan and Michael McCaul, ranking members on the committees on oversight and foreign affairs, respectively. "The American people deserve to hear from the following witnesses in an open setting," Nunes, the top Republican on the committee, pointed out.

"Trump should be afforded an opportunity to confront his accusers," the California representative added.
