Turkey, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom will hold a summit on Syria in December, according to Ibrahim Kalin, an adviser to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

"It was decided to organize this four-way summit on the sidelines of the NATO summit scheduled in London on December 3 and 4," Kalin told Anadolu news agency on Saturday.

The meeting comes at the moment of heightened tensions between Ankara and the rest of NATO members over the recent Turkish military operation in war-torn Syria.
