Europe opens in green following German data

Major European stock markets opened in the green on Monday after Germany reported a rise in industrial production in July and amid favorable expectations in that field in the near future. Meanwhile in political news, Boris Johnson is expected to announce later in the day the hard deadline for finalizing the post-Brexit free trade agreement with the European Union.

The DAX traded 0.76% higher at 9:02 am CET with as the share of the MTU Aero Engines advanced by 2.11% at 9:09 am CET. The FTSE 100 gained 0.49% a minute earlier as Associated British Foods rose by 4.11% at 9:06 am CET. The CAC 40 increased by 0.61% at 9:02 am CET as Renault topped with 3.09% at 9:06 am CET.

The euro lost 0.10% against the dollar to sell for $1.18272 at 9:05 am CET. A minute later, the pound sterling slid by 0.56% against the greenback to exchange hands for $1.32060.
