US stocks drop premarket, Dow down over 100 pts

Major stock indexes in the United States traded lower premarket on Wednesday with the country's presidential elections in the focus. During the last night's debate, President Donald Trump claimed that he paid "millions" in taxes, while his opponent Joe Biden asserted that he will eliminate all the tax cuts implemented by the current administration. Meanwhile, the country's Senate advanced the bipartisan stopgap funding bill needed to avoid a government shutdown.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.50% at 4:20 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 lost 0.65% a minute later. The S&P 500 was down 0.49%.

The euro decreased 0.14% against the greenback to sell for 1.17263 at 4:21 am ET.
