Dow surges 300 pts on stimulus bill optimism

The Dow Jones Industrial Average soared more than 300 points on Wednesday after the United States Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin asserted that the House Democrats and the White House might come to an agreement on the fourth installment of the coronavirus relief package later in the day.

The Dow Jones jumped 1.10% or 301 points at 9:58 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 gained 0.92% at the same time. The S&P 500 concurrently went up by 0.78%.

The euro declined by 0.41% against the dollar at 10:01 am ET, to sell for $1.16960.
