Wall Street rises in premarket ahead of Fed meeting

United States stock markets recorded gains in Tuesday's premarket trading, ahead of Federal Reserve's two-day monetary policy meeting which kicks off later today. The central bank is widely expected to keep key interest rates in place and adopt a more cautious tone, suggesting little or no monetary tightening by the end of 2019.

On the data front, US factory orders will be released today, while FedEx is set to report its quarterly earnings report.

The Dow Jones was 0.38% higher premarket, while the Nasdaq 100 gained 0.34% at the same time. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 was 0.36% in the positive territory before the opening bell. The euro was 0.14% higher against the dollar to sell for 1.1352 at 5:30 am ET.
