US stocks rise premarket, Fed meeting in focus

Premarket trade on Wall Street was marked by gains on Tuesday as investors focus on the two-day monetary policy meeting of the Federal Reserve starting later in the day. The monetary policy decision is due tomorrow and is widely expected to keep the rate unchanged.

Meanwhile, CNBC's Fed survey for March pointed to a sharp slowdown in GDP growth this year, continuing into 2020 with lower intensity. Census Bureau's factory orders figures are scheduled for release shortly after the opening bell.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up by 0.43% at 7:38 ET.

The Nasdaq 100 and the S&P 500 both added 0.42% at the same time.

Concurrently, the euro increased by 0.14% compared to the dollar, selling for $1.13526.
