Dow turns negative on trade deal developments

The Dow Jones Industrial Average turned negative during later hours of trading on Tuesday, following the reports that the United States delegation is traveling to China next week for more trade talks. Additionally, the report indicated that Chinese Vice Premier Liu He is expected to visit the US the week after. The Dow fell 0.17% or approximately 43 points at 3:25 pm ET with The Travelers Companies Inc. leading the losses, as it fell 1.40% at 3:25 pm ET.

Meanwhile, the Nasdaq 100 added 0.24 at 3:27 pm ET. Advanced Micro Devices pulled the index up, surging 11.08% at 3:29 pm ET. The S&P 500 was 0.10% in the red at 3:28 pm ET.

The euro was 0.15% higher compared to the dollar, selling for 1.1354 at 3:28 pm ET.
