Asian markets mixed amid trade talks, BoJ projections

Asian markets traded mixed on Wednesday following reports that trade negotiations between Washington and Beijing are entering their final phase. Also, Bank of Japan left growth projections for fiscal 2019 and 2020 more or less unchanged on an expectation that the economic activity is likely to continue its expanding trend.

China's Shanghai Composite was up 0.14% at 4:11 am CET while Shenzhen Composite traded 0.33% in the red at the same time.

Japanese Nikkei 225 traded 0.10% higher at 4:14 am CET. The dollar traded 0.18% higher against the yen, to go for 111.6120 at 4:13 am CET.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng traded 0.34% lower at 4:14 am CET. South Korean Kospi Composite was down 0.93% at 4:12 am CET.

Australia's S&P/ASX 200 went down 0.07% at 4:13 am CET.
