Asian markets lower after Japan data

Major Asian indexes traded lower on Friday after Japan released its inflation figures. In addition, the newest report on its manufacturing activity showed a downturn. Meanwhile, reports emerged that United States President Donald Trump is insisting on reducing the trade deficit with China as negotiations continue.

The Nikkei dropped 0.60% at 4:11 am CET. South Korea's Kospi Composite was 0.16% lower at 3:52 am CET.

In China, the Shanghai Composite lost 0.93% at 4:11 am CET and the Shenzhen Composite traded 1.47% in the red at 4:13 am CET. Meanwhile, Hong Kong's Hang Seng fell 0.84% at the same time.

In Australia, the S&P/ASX 200 was flat at 4:14 am CET.

The dollar lost just 0.06% against the yen to sell for 110.7445 at 4:14 am CET.
