Stock indices in the United States ended the session on Tuesday in the green as the tensions in the Middle East continued to rise. Saudi Arabia said it remains unclear who was behind the attacks over the weekend, but US intelligence and a Saudi investigation pointed to Iran as the perpetrator.

Also, the US Federal Reserve two-day monetary policy meeting is underway. The latest decision on monetary policy will be announced tomorrow, with analysts largely expecting the US central bank to cut rates by 25 basis points.

The Dow Jones ended the session 0.11% in the green thanks in part to Boeing adding 1.44%. The Nasdaq 100 rose 0.46% at the close as Ulta Beauty gained 3.73%. The S&P 500 closed by adding 0.25% with MSCI as the best performer, soaring 4.41%.

The euro jumped 0.63% against the dollar, changing hands for 1.10715 at 4:00 pm ET.
