Lufthansa's revenue rises 2% to €10.18B in Q3

Lufthansa AG announced on Thursday that its revenue in the third quarter amounted to €10.18 billion, increasing 2% year-on-year. Adjusted EBIT slipped 8% to €1.30 billion while net profit rose 4% on an annual basis, reaching €1.15 billion. Meanwhile, the company said that earnings per share jumped 4% in the three months ending September to amount to €2.43.

German largest airline increased the number of flights by 2% year-over-year, operating 323,957 flights during the third quarter of fiscal 2019. Over the same period, the flag carrier for Germany transported 42.69 million passengers, 3% more compared to the same period last year.

The company stated that it expects revenue to grow at a low single-digit percentage rate for fiscal 2019 while the EBIT margin was projected to be between 5.5% and 6.5%.
