Wall Street opens lower after trade deficit figures

United States stock markets opened on Tuesday as the country's trade deficit widened to $82.9 billion in August. Meanwhile, house prices rose by 4.8% in July, while wholesale inventories increased by 0.5% in August.

The Dow Jones started the session 0.14% in the red at 9:30 am ET, as the Boeing Co. lost 1.67%. The Nasdaq 100 dropped by 0.16% at 9:31 am ET, with Zoom Video Communications dropping by 1.78%. The S&P 500 was down 0.06% at the same time. McCormick & Co Inc. dipped 4.45%.

The euro traded 0.49% higher compared to the dollar at 9:49 am ET, selling for 1.17244.
