Boeing wins US Space Force satellite contract

Boeing Company received a $298 million contract to develop satellite prototype and satellite communications architecture for the US Space Force’s Evolved Strategic SATCOM (ESS) program, the company said in a statement on Thursday. The contract is expected to be awarded in 2025, Boeing unveiled.

"By leveraging our expertise in digital engineering and technologies with synergies across both our government and commercial systems, we’re uniquely positioned to deliver solutions needed to address the ever-evolving threats," Troy Dawson, vice president of Boeing Government Satellite Systems, asserted, adding that the US aircraft maker has "worked closely with the Space Force to define a program responsive to our nation’s needs."
