American multinational airline corporation Boeing said on Tuesday it decided to slash its rolling 20-year airplane demand forecast by 2% to 43,110 units.

The company stated that due to coronavirus pandemic, airplane demand decreased and that it predicts 18,350 deliveries in the period of 2020-2029, 10.7% less.

Darren Hulst, the vice president said that "commercial aviation is facing historic challenges this year, significantly affecting near and medium-term demand for airplanes and services. Yet history has also proven air travel to be resilient time and again."
