European stocks were mixed in premarket trading on Thursday ahead of the two-day European Council set to focus on Brexit. Meanwhile, investors also focused on corporate earnings as Nestle posted a 3% increase in revenue for the first nine months of the year. Unilever is also due to report before the bell.

The FTSE 100 added 0.09% at 7:33 am CET, while the DAX declined by 0.07% at the same time and the CAC 40 decreased by 0.12% at 7:42 am CET.

The euro was up 0.04% against the dollar to sell for 1.10755 at 7:31 am CET, while the pound lost 0.17% compared to the US currency to go for 1.28078 at 7:32 am CET.
